WHAT A Triumph • Anyone who knows me will also know I have a passion for motorcycles and I have always wanted to own a Triumph because they’re a British company (sort of), and this year, I had planned to buy my first Triumph bike and in fact I’ve actually now bought 3 bikes this year, but not one of them ended up being a Triumph for one reason or another.

RETRO WEEKEND • Transliving held a Retro Weekend in October at the Haddon Hall in Eastbourne. Friday's theme was 1950-60s, and Saturday, we jumped a decade to the 1980-90s. On Sunday, we descended into the depths and travelled back to the 'dark ages' for Halloween. Whether in theme or not, we had much fun with our fabulous outfits!

THE BRIGHTON SHOOT • “Girl, you need some fun!” I declared. So, I booked a short break at Blanch House, a bijou Victorian hotel in Brighton’s Kemptown. From the moment that I arrived, the staff were welcoming and kind to an old T-Girl, and I knew that this was going to be an enjoyable visit.

COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS AND HOW TO STOP

LIVING FULL TIME

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! • I never sought to be a godmother, much less a fairy godmother, yet it’s happened! I was delighted when Karla Brown referred to me in Spanish: “Madrina Nora.” So, “Who is Karla?” and “How did this happen?” This article aims to answer these two questions and explain why you should know.

Alexander J. Collins • IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO BE WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE BEEN

BEST FACE FORWARD • This is the story of my time spent at beauty school as a “glam makeover model”. It all began one night while I was getting made up for a scene in the mini-series, When We Rise. The makeup artist (MOA) was telling me that she was an instructor at the Blanche Macdonald Centre in the Makeup Artistry Department. She said that exams were coming up and some of her students were in need of models, and that maybe I could volunteer if I had the time.

PART ONE • This story of my transition from a man to a woman is a condensed excerpt from my unfinished autobiography called ‘The Long Walk to Waitrose (Love Changes Everything).

LET'S BE BOLD!

She Who Fixed Her Broken Wings: The music of Beth Warburton

A PAIR OF NICKERS

TASMIN'S STORY • I first entered the transgender world in 2015 as Tasmin when my wife Monica and I attended the Transliving International 2015 Spring Event. Apart from a passing interests in female clothing during childhood, I progressed to the perils, stresses and delights of meeting and having girlfriends. Thoughts of replicating dressing as a female in adulthood never subsequently crossed my mind. We established new friendships at that Eastbourne weekend and were soon attending monthly meetings at Salisbury, Totton Disco and Lyndhurst. In July 2016 we started a new monthly meeting group in Dorset at Wimborne Minster – ‘Wimborne Girls’.
